Car-pedestrian fatality reported in Brampton Township

BRAMPTON TOWNSHIP, MI— A Gladstone woman has been killed in a car-pedestrian accident in Delta County.

Saturday around 8:40 p.m., sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to M-35 near 25th Road for a welfare check on a woman who was walking in and out of traffic. As officers were on their way, Central Dispatch received a 911 call that a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the same area.

A deputy arrived at the scene and found Tasha Adams, 29, had been struck. She was taken to OSF Saint Francis Hospital and later transferred to

UPHS-Marquette, where she died Sunday of her injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
