Rapid River woman dies in Ford River Township accident

FORD RIVER TOWNSHIP, MI— A single-vehicle rollover crash has claimed the life of a Delta County woman.

Michigan State Police from the Gladstone Post say it happened Wednesday around 1 a.m. on M-35 in Ford River Township. Kelli Marshall, 44, of Rapid River was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alcohol and seatbelt usage are believed to be factors in the accident, which remains under investigation.

The Ford River Township Fire Department and Rampart EMS assisted at the scene.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
