Motorcycle driver hit by vehicle in Ishpeming Township

ISHPEMING TOWNSHIP, MI— A motorcyclist was injured in a multiple-vehicle crash in Ishpeming Township Sunday.

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched around 12:20 p.m. to the intersection of Randall Drive and Lilac Street.

Deputies say a 25-year-old Marquette man was northbound when he entered the intersection and struck a motorcycle driven by a 56-year-old Republic man. The motorcyclist was taken to UPHS-Marquette for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Assisting at the scene were Ishpeming Township Fire/EMS, the Ishpeming Police Department, Michigan State Police, and Anttila’s Towing.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
