One vehicle involved in crash on County Road 550

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI— No one was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash in Marquette Township Tuesday.

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office says it happened around 11:30 a.m. on County Road 550 near Middle Island Point Road.

A 2005 Pontiac driven by a 21-year-old woman was southbound when she lost control of her car and crashed.

The occupants of the vehicle were checked out by EMS but refused treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.

Marquette Township Fire/EMS and Antilla’s Towing assisted at the scene.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
