ATV crash claims man's life in Marinette County

MIDDLE INLET, WI— A Neenah, Wisconsin man died in an ATV accident in Marinette County on Friday.

Sheriff Randy Miller says around 7:45 p.m., a single ATV crashed on Wayside Road near Pleasant Lane in the town of Middle Inlet.

Investigation revealed KC Duane Bolles, 37, was southbound on Wayside when he failed to negotiate a 90-degree turn, went into the ditch, and struck a tree. He was pronounced dead by the Marinette County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Bolles was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Alcohol and speed appear to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.

Assisting at the scene were the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and Crivitz Rescue.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
