Explosion rocks Marinette County house

WAGNER, WI— Two people were injured in a house explosion in Marinette County Friday.

Sheriff Randy Miller says deputies were notified around 7:30 p.m. that the house on Snyder Road in the town of Wagner was on fire.

When officers arrived, they found two men had been injured. They were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The Wausaukee Fire Department, Gover-Porterfield Fire Department, Mellen Township Fire Department, Menominee-Ingallston Fire Department, Wausaukee Rescue, Aurora Medical Center-Bay Area Paramedics, Lake Fire Department, Middle Inlet Fire Department, Peshtigo Fire Department, Wisconsin Public Service, and Guardian Flight from Escanaba assisted at the scene.

The explosion remains under investigation by the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office. No other information is available at this time.
