Four people injured in truck/buggy accident in Delta County

DELTA COUNTY, MI— Three people are hospitalized, following a crash between a pickup truck and an Amish horse and buggy in Delta County Saturday.

The Delta County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched around 3:30 p.m. to 18th Road near H.25 Road in the Riverland area. Investigation revealed both vehicles were eastbound on 18th Road when the truck struck the buggy.

Four women were in the buggy. As of Sunday, one had been treated and released from the hospital. The other three remain hospitalized—two in critical condition and one in stable condition.

The male driver of the pickup was not injured.

The incident remains under investigation.
