BESSEMER TOWNSHIP, MI— A Luxemburg, Wisconsin man died in a snowmobile accident in Bessemer Township on Sunday.
Michigan State Police from the Wakefield Post say it happened around 10:30 a.m. on Trail 2.
Preliminary investigation indicates the 61-year-old man was eastbound when he left the trail, lost control of the machine, and struck a post.
Emergency medical care was administered at the scene, but efforts were unsuccessful.
Officials say neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be factors in the crash.
