SKANDIA TOWNSHIP, MI— The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the woman killed in a car/motorcycle crash in Skandia Township Sunday afternoon.
Lisa Smale, 59, of Christmas was a passenger on a motorcycle that was southbound on US-41. It was struck by a pickup truck that was westbound on M-94.
Smale was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver of the motorcycle suffered serious injuries.
Deputies say there may be an additional witness to the crash. Anyone who may have seen it is asked to contact the Marquette County Sheriff’s office at 906-225-8435.
