STEPHENSON, MI— A motorcycle crash has claimed the life of a Crivitz man.
The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched Wednesday just after 8 p.m. to Newton Lake Road near South Zak Lane in the town of Stephenson.
Deputies say Frank Laes, 63, was driving a motorcycle northbound when he struck a deer and crashed into the ditch. Laes, who was not wearing a helmet, later passed away from injuries sustained in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and Marinette County Medical Examiner’s Office.
