BRUCE CROSSING, MI— A woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Ontonagon County Tuesday.
Sheriff’s deputies responded around 8:19 p.m. to M-28 near Lepponen Road, west of Bruce Crossing. They found EMS personnel attempting lifesaving measures on a female victim.
The 73-year-old driver of one of the vehicles involved in the crash was pronounced dead at the scene. The 21-year-old female driver of the other vehicle was taken to Aspirus Ironwood Hospital for treatment.
The accident remains under investigation and further details will be released at a later date.
Assisting at the scene were Michigan State Police from the Wakefield Post, SONCO South Ambulance Service, Beacon ALS, the Bruce Crossing Fire Department, and Lahti’s Towing.
