Bessemer, MI – Officials have released the names of the individuals involved in an apparent murder/suicide in Gogebic County. A trooper from the Wakefield post and deputy from the Sheriff's Department responded to a domestic violence call at a Bessemer home Thursday. The call had been placed by Amy Green, 25. When officers arrived, Ladd Honkala, 34, shot at them through a window with a high-powered rifle. Green's son, six-year-old Keegan Miller, was struck as he stood outside. When officers finally gained entry to the house, they found Green and Honkala dead in what they believe was a murder/suicide. Keegan was airlifted to St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota with non-critical injuries.
