Coming home again: Jonathan Johnson discusses muses and writing grief

Poet, author, professor and Marquette native Jonathan Johnson is participating in the Great Lakes Poetry Festival at Peter White Public Library, which takes place April 23-29.

He spoke with Public Radio 90 News Director Nicole Walton about what prompts him to write and the two free workshops he's holding at the library, Writing Your Grief.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
