Application period for Isle Royale Artist-In-Residence summer program approaching

ISLE ROYALE NATIONAL PARK, MI— Artists, writers, and composers are invited to apply for the Summer 2025 Isle Royale Artist-In-Residence Program.

While on the island for the two- to three-week residency, artists will be housed in a rustic cabin. They’ll interpret Isle Royale through their particular medium and donate a work inspired by the island at the end of their stay.

During the residency, artists may share their experience with the public through a presentation or demonstration. They’ll also be asked to contribute to the park’s online exhibit.

Applications for the Artist-in-Residence Program will be accepted January 2 through February 16, 2025. A panel of artistic professionals and a park representative will select the finalists.
