History awards nominations sought by Marquette Regional History Center

MARQUETTE, MI— The Marquette Regional History Center wants to recognize people and organizations dedicated to interpreting and sharing Marquette County’s history.

It’s seeking nominations for the 2025 Helen Longyear Paul and Peter White awards. The first honors individuals and the second honors foundations, companies, organizations, and institutions. Both recognize exceptional effort in the enhancement, restoration, conservation, or interpretation of the history of the area.

Nominations should be in your own words, reflecting the nominee’s contribution to local history. They will be accepted through February 6 at 5 p.m. at the museum during regular business hours. Award winners will be announced during the MRHC Annual Meeting on February 25.

For more information, call 906-226-3571 or email mrhc@marquettehistory.org.
