MARQUETTE, MI— A new public art installation project is up for review and public comment in Marquette.

The city’s Public Art Commission has approved the design for the landscape-based project, which is planned within Lions Lakeside Park. It would be a public gathering space and outdoor extension of the future City Cultural Trailhead.

A link to the project design and details is here.

Comments may be emailed to City Arts and Culture Manager Tiina Morin at tmorin@marquettemi.gov. Input will be accepted through noon on March 5th.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
