Bonifas Arts Update 6/25/20

This time on the Bonifas Arts Update, Kurt Hauswirth speaks with Executive Director Sue Roll about summer events at the Bonifas and around the region, including steps taken for safe events utilizing social distancing and outdoor/online events.

Exhibits –

The Bonifas Membership Show runs from June 11 through July 23 with a reception and awards Thursday, 6/25 at 7pm.  The event is an inside and outside event, practicing social distancing and healthy behavior.

Artists are encouraged to apply to be part of the next exhibit, U.P. Cycle –  saving the planet on piece of art at a time.  The exhibit opens July 30 and runs to Sept. 17.

Arts Education/Classes – outdoors, if at all possible!

Through the Lens of a Smartphone with professional photographer Mike Hall on Friday, July 10 from 4:30 to 6:30pm.

Graffiti & Grapes with Marlene Wood – July 10, 15, 24 and 29 at 6:30pm.  Bring your favorite beverage and enjoy a fun evening creating a fun and colorful work of art!

Art Fundamentals for Kids with Spencer Epps – a series from noon to 1:30 on July 10, 16, 23, and 30.  For ages 5 and up (children ages 5-9 should be accompanied by a responsible caretaker).

Events –

Music Mondays begin on June 29 in Escanaba’s Ludington Park at the Band Shell.  The Blue Line group will be playing classic rock with a touch of country.
