MARQUETTE, MI— A body was found on the Iron Ore Heritage Trail in Marquette on Saturday.
The Marquette Police Department says an unresponsive male was located around 5 p.m. by a person walking on the path near Wilson Street. Officers were directed down an embankment just south of the path and found the man.
Resuscitation efforts were performed by first responders, but he was eventually pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigation into the death will continue.
Assisting in the incident were the Marquette City Fire Department and UPHS-Marquette EMS.
