MARQUETTE, MI-- The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs is sponsoring free seminars about raising capital and other business-related issues in the U.P. this week.
Understanding Your Options for Raising Capital in Michigan will include information on new federal crowdfunding rules, Michigan’s intrastate crowdfunding, and presentations by two of the state’s top securities attorneys.
The first seminar takes place Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the University Center Brule Room at Northern Michigan University. The event will be simulcast live in Room 525 at Bay College in Escanaba.
The second seminar will be held Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the 1st Floor Community Room at Michigan Technological University. It will also be simulcast live in the East Superior Room at Lake Superior State University’s Walker Cisler Center.
