Bogan retiring from UPHS

MARQUETTE, MI--   The Market President of UP Health System is retiring next year.

Jim Bogan has served in the role since 2014.  First the CEO of Portage Hospital, he was instrumental in developing the plan that united the Marquette, Bell, and Portage hospitals into UPHS.  He also oversaw more than $400 million in capital projects, including construction of a $29 million facility in Hancock.

Bogan is leaving his post in spring of 2017.  To make sure there’s a smooth transition the CEOs of the three hospitals will report to Jeff Seraphine, Eastern Group President of LifePoint Health.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
