Organizational changes at Eagle Mine

CHAMPION, MI--   Eagle Mine’s Managing Director is leaving her post. 

Kristen Mariuzza has accepted the position of Vice President – Environment & Social Performance with parent company Lundin Mining. Her new job is effective January 1, 2020.

Mariuzza has been with Eagle since 2010, first with Rio Tinto and subsequently Lundin Mining. She also worked as a Senior Environmental Engineer with the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality.

Eagle says Darby Stacey will return to the mine to fill the Managing Director spot. He previously held the position of Mill Manager at the Mine and is currently working as a consultant.

Stacey begins the new job March 1, 2020.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
