Cloverland chief reappointed to drone task force

DAFTER, MI— Cloverland Electric’s President and CEO has been reappointed to Michigan’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems Taskforce.

Mike Heise will represent utilities serving the Upper Peninsula. His term ends in July of 2025.

The task force provides guidance to Governor Whitmer as Michigan prepares for the future of private and commercial drone use.

Cloverland launched a drone program this year. Heize says it provides many applications, like equipment and line inspection, storm damage assessment, vegetation management evaluation and videography.
