MARQUETTE, MI— The Marquette City Commission is holding a special meeting Monday to hear an update on the former Marquette General Hospital site.
The Northern Michigan University Foundation and UPHS-Marquette have been conducting due diligence on the property to see if it can be redeveloped. If the transaction moves forward, UPHS would transfer the site to the Foundation for a dollar, along with $10 million for prepaid rent and development support.
Officials with the Foundation will update the Commission regarding due diligence findings and opportunities for redevelopment.
The meeting begins at 4:30 p.m. in Commission chambers. The public is invited to attend.
