PESHTIGO, WI— One of the world’s largest suppliers of aerospace and defense products is closing its facility in Marinette County, resulting in the loss of 100 jobs.
In a letter to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development Monday, Collins Aerospace said it will begin to lay off employees at the Peshtigo facility on July 28th. The company plans to cease all operations on or around December 15th of this year.
Officials say none of the affected employees is represented by a union and cannot “bump” less senior employees at other locations.
The company did not provide any other details.
