Mine parts move to delay Delta, Marquette County traffic

MARQUETTE, MI— Drivers traveling between Gladstone and the Tilden Mine area on the nights of May 13th and 14th can expect delays.

Large dump truck components will be transported to the mine, temporarily blocking traffic.

The first move is planned for Monday night starting at 11 p.m. and finishing by 5 a.m. Tuesday. The second move is planned to start at 11 p.m. Tuesday and finish by 5 a.m. Wednesday.

The loads will travel on Delta County roads to M-35, then north on M-35 to M-553. The route continues on Marquette County Road-480 and then back onto M-35 to the mine.

The rig will block lanes and travel at low speeds. It will pull over periodically so traffic can pass.
