Peak25 entrepreneurship conference slated for Feb. 20 & 21 at NMU

MARQUETTE, MI— Innovate Marquette and SISU: The Innovation Institute at Northern Michigan University have announced the keynote speakers for next month’s Peak25 conference.

Free for attendees and open to the public, Peak25 will focus on breakthroughs in research, entrepreneurship and collaboration.

Keynote speakers Deborah Amato and Mark Twight will give presentations during the two-day event. Amato is Deputy Chief Technologist for NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. Twight is an award-winning author, trainer, mountain climber, and entrepreneur.

The conference will also feature an outdoor innovation experience, a design jam showcase, scholarship and research sessions and competitions, entrepreneurship showcases, and two live pitch competitions. It takes place February 20 and 21.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
