KI SAWYER, MI— The new waiting area at Marquette Sawyer Regional Airport is officially complete.

Officials say the previous post-security waiting area was getting overcrowded due to overlapping American and Delta flights. To create more space, the security checkpoint was relocated closer to the terminal entrance, allowing for the addition of 65 new seats.

The project, which was approved by the Marquette County Board, cost around $400,000.
