HANCOCK, MI— The Keweenaw Co-op has been recognized as a business to watch in the state.
The organization Michigan Celebrates Small Businesses has placed the co-op on its Top 50 Companies to Watch in 2025 list. The move recognizes outstanding achievements in the past year while maintaining growth-oriented goals for the future.
Keweenaw Co-op General Manager Curt Webb and Interim GM Denise Hansen recently received the award in Lansing. They also met with Senator Ed McBroom and Representative Greg Markkanen to advocate for programs that strengthen local food systems like Double Up Food Bucks and MDARD Regional Food Systems Infrastructure Grants.
