Marquette airport adds Chicago flight

KI SAWYER, MI— Marquette Sawyer Regional Airport has expanded its flight offerings to and from Chicago.

Officials have announced the addition of a second daily American Airlines flight from and to O’Hare. Departures are now listed as 6:45 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Arrivals are at 3:49 p.m. and 9:43 p.m.

Airport Director Duane DuRay says the new flight complements existing service and provides greater flexibility for passengers. He credits the addition of the flight to increasing passenger numbers.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
