MARINETTE, WI-- A former Norway pastor on trial in Marinette County for sexual assault has been acquitted of all charges.
Harold Markham, 46, was charged with repeated sexual assault of a child. He was accused of inappropriately touching the victim in 2007 during her freshman year of high school. Markham testified it was the victim who made sexual advances toward him.
Trial began Tuesday and closing arguments wrapped up Thursday morning. The jury deliberated for three hours, finding Markham not guilty Thursday afternoon.
