WI elementary school principal pleads to drug charge

ANTIGO, WI (AP)--   A former Antigo elementary school principal had pleaded guilty to a marijuana manufacturing charge in an agreement with prosecutors.

Six other drug counts against John Lund, 48, were dismissed Tuesday in Langlade County Circuit Court.

Lund was principal at Pleasant View Elementary School and was also the football coach at Antigo High School. A criminal complaint says Lund got marijuana from a relative and gave some to Scot Peterson, a retired teacher and former football coach. Peterson earlier reached a plea deal and was sentenced to six months in prison.

Sentencing for Lund is March 6. He faces a maximum three years in prison.
