Dickerson pleads in Escanaba

ESCANABA, MI--   An Escanaba man accused of hitting a Bark River man in the head during an attempted robbery has pleaded in the case.

Jeffrey Dickerson, 31, pleaded guilty last week to larceny of a person and two counts of possession of analogs—punishable by up to 12 years in prison and a $2,000 fine.

Sentencing is set for May 29.

Dickerson and his codefendant, Scott Wahl, 23, were charged with striking the victim in the head with a glass bottle last December in Wells Township.  Wahl has already been sentenced to between 18 months and five years in prison.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
