Preliminary hearing set for man accused of making terroristic threats

ESCANABA, MI--   A preliminary hearing is scheduled for a Rapid River man accused of making terrorist threats over the internet.  

James Lee Bugg, 28, allegedly said he was going to make an explosive device and harm people in a public venue.  He’s charged with weapons—miscellaneous.

Bugg is a convicted felon.  The case is being investigated by Michigan State Police from the Gladstone Post, the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

Bugg’s preliminary exam is set for June 24 in Delta County District Court. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
