Man sentenced for stealing from Negaunee vehicles

ISHPEMING, MI--   A Negaunee Township man has been sentenced to jail for breaking into cars and taking items.  

Tyler Johnson, 19, pleaded guilty to breaking and entering a motor vehicle in connection with several incidents on Pine Street in Negaunee last month. 

Johnson was sentenced in Marquette County District Court in Ishpeming Tuesday to one year in jail. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
