Marquette video suspect arraigned

MARQUETTE, MI--   The man accused of causing $4,000 worth of damage to a state building and vehicle has been arraigned in Marquette County District Court.   

Austin Ritchie, 20, is charged with malicious destruction of personal property and malicious destruction of police property.

He was identified through a video released by the Michigan State Police Hometown Security Team last week.  The damage happened to the State Police Crime Lab and a vehicle. 

A preliminary hearing is set for November 6.  Ritchie is free on a $1,500 bond. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
