Aldrich pleads to criminal sexual conduct with Houghton High School student

HOUGHTON, MI--   A former volunteer with the Houghton High School hockey team has pleaded guilty to having sexual contact with a student.  

Bradley Aldrich, 30, was originally charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a student between 16 and 18 years old.  That charge is punishable by up to 15 years in prison. 

He was also charged with fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct in the March incident. 

Aldrich pleaded guilty Monday to fourth-degree CSC, punishable by up to two years in prison and a $500 fine. 

Aldrich had been out on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond, which has since been revoked.  He remains lodged at the Houghton County Jail pending sentencing in about four weeks.    

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
