Men associated with Dowling death sentenced

MARQUETTE, MI--   Two Marquette men charged with concealing the death of an individual have been sentenced.

Police say Jordan Beaudry, 19, and Christopher Garrow, 17, were with Kyle Dowling, 22, on the night of his death.  Dowling’s body was found on the porch of his Marquette residence October 1 of last year.

Beaudry and Garrow both pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor failure to report the discovery of a dead body.  In return the felony charge was dropped.

The two men were sentenced this week to one year of probation and $955 each in fines and court costs.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
