Late August trial scheduled for Ryan Anderson

GRAND FORKS, ND--   A trial date has been set for an Upper Peninsula man accused of killing a friend in North Dakota.

Ryan Anderson, 32, of Iron River is charged with murder in the March 2013 stabbing death of 32-year-old Christopher King, also of Iron River.  Anderson allegedly killed King during an alcohol-fueled argument at an oil field crew camp in northwestern North Dakota.

Trial is set for August 28 in Grand Forks.  A change of venue from Williston, North Dakota was recently granted because of the high-profile nature of the case.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
