Teens accused of throwing chair through Marquette window bound over to circuit court

MARQUETTE, MI--   Two downstate teens accused of damaging homes in East Marquette have waived their 

  

preliminary hearing.  

Mitchell Skiba, 19, of Apena and Logan Beach, 19, of Presque Isle were arrested for throwing a chair through a window of a house on Front Street April 14.  Officials discovered damage to ten 10 other homes and a vehicle. 

Skiba is charged with two felony counts of malicious destruction of a building and four misdemeanor counts of malicious destruction of personal property and to a building.  Beach is charged with two counts of malicious destruction of a building and two counts of malicious destruction of personal property.

The two will be arraigned in Marquette County Circuit Court May 23.    

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
