ESCANABA, MI--   A Wells Township man has been sentenced for delivering drugs in Delta County.

Jeffrey Koos, 35, was charged with three counts of delivery of a controlled substance involving Ritalin and Suboxone strips.  He pleaded no contest last month to the charges, claiming he was high during the incidents and didn’t remember them.

Koos was given two to seven years in prison with credit for 106 days already served.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
