Accused Marinette shooter faces five counts

MARINETTE, WI--   A Marinette, Wisconsin man accused of shooting another resident has been charged in district court.  

Kenneth Davis, 50, is accused of shooting a 37-year-old man in the arm May 22 on the 200 block of East Bayshore Street.  He fled the scene in a vehicle but was stopped about three hours later by a deputy in Porterfield, Wisconsin.

Davis is charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree recklessly endangering safety, witness intimidation, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of marijuana. 

He remains lodged in the Marinette County Jail on a $1 million bond. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
