Greenland woman in court this week on meth/pot charges

ONTONAGON, MI--   An Ontonagon County woman has been arraigned in circuit court on various drug charges. 

Janet Finley, 55, of Greenland is charged with possession of meth, possession with intent to deliver meth, possession of marijuana, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, maintaining a drug house, using meth, and using marijuana.  She faces at least 34 years in prison if convicted as charged. 

Finley stood mute on the charges this week.  The court entered a not guilty plea on her behalf. 

She remains free on 25 percent of a $25,000 bond. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
