Judge won't lower bond for man who allegedly possessed child porn

ESCANABA, MI--   Bond will not be lowered for a Gladstone man being prosecuted by the Michigan Attorney General’s Office on several child pornography charges.

Robert Lindstrom, 24, was arrested by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force last month after a six-month investigation.

A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Thursday, but Lindstrom’s attorney waived the 14-day rule.  He asked the judge to lower Lindstrom’s bond from 10 percent of

$50,000 but the judge denied the request, saying it was appropriate for the severity of the crimes.

Lindstrom is charged with ten counts of sexually abusive activity, ten counts of possession of child sexually abusive material, and one count of using a computer to commit a crime.

Another preliminary exam is set for November 13.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
