Alleged stabber pleads in Dickinson County case

IRON MOUNTAIN, MI--   An Iron Mountain man accused of stabbing another man at a Felch Township camp last October has entered a plea in the case.  

Aaron Ray Hodges, 44, was initially charged with assault with intent to murder.  At a pretrial conference Monday Hodges pleaded no contest to assault with intent to commit great bodily harm less than murder.  The charge is punishable by up to 15 years in prison.

Sentencing is set for March 3 in Dickinson County Circuit Court. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
