Nutini pleads to explosives charge

MARQUETTE, MI--   A Marquette man accused of causing an explosion at a city lift station was in court Tuesday. 

Christian Nutini, 29, is accused of damaging the station at the corner of Hawley Street and Lakeshore Boulevard in November of 2014.  He pleaded guilty to possession of explosives with intent, punishable by up to 10 years in prison. 

Sentencing is set for March 4 in 25th Circuit Court.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
