Suspect pleads to Marquette coffee shop break-in

MARQUETTE, MI--   A Skandia man has pleaded guilty to breaking into a Marquette coffee shop in May of 2015.

Clay Overmyer, 19, was arrested last July for entering the Cruise ‘n’ Coffee and taking an undisclosed amount of money.  He pleaded guilty this week to breaking and entering with intent—punishable by up to ten years in prison. 

Overmyer will be sentenced June 24 in Marquette County Circuit Court. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
