Meth suspect agrees to plea deal

MARQUETTE, MI--   A Gwinn-area man has pleaded to a meth charge. 

Joshua Richards, 30, of Little Lake was arrested in May by detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team following an investigation into the purchasing of pseudoephedrine to make meth.

Richards was originally charged with conspiracy to make meth, but pleaded guilty Friday to one count of purchase/possession of pseudoephedrine for the manufacture of meth. 

His sentencing is set for July 29.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
