Plea deal for man charged with driving into concession stand

ISHPEMING, MI--   A Negaunee man accused of crashing his truck into a concession stand at the Miners’ football field has entered a plea in the case.  

Gerald Potvin, 33, allegedly drove over the curb in early November and hit the eastern wall of the stand, causing considerable damage.  He was charged with reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and failure to report an accident.

On Tuesday Potvin pleaded guilty to careless driving and failure to report an accident. 

Sentencing is set for February 16 in Ishpeming District Court.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
