Governor appoints Ninomiya to replace Judge Celello

IRON MOUNTAIN, MI--   Governor Rick Snyder has appointed Christopher Ninomiya to the 41st Circuit Court of Dickinson, Iron, and Menominee counties. 

Ninomiya has served in the 95-B District Court in Dickinson County since his election in 2008. Prior to his judgeship Ninomiya worked in the Dickinson County Prosecutor’s Office beginning in 1993. He was elected prosecutor in 2000.

Ninomiya fills the vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Richard Celello. He must seek election in November of 2018 to fill the remainder of the current term, which expires in 2020. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
