ESCANABA, MI-- An Escanaba man who pleaded guilty to assault with a dangerous weapon has been sentenced.
Joshua Myers, 33, was accused of inflicting a 3- to 4-inch cut on another man’s neck in an August 21 incident in Escanaba. The 26-year-old victim sustained a superficial injury.
Myers was originally charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and habitual offender, fourth offense. He pleaded to assault with a dangerous weapon and the other charges were dropped.
Myers was sentenced Monday to 2 to 4 years in prison with credit for 168 days already served.
